So I was never really sure how to post about this specific selfship due to my f/o being my own oc and also that this stemmed from me shipping said oc with my fictotype and it evolving into selfshipping. But fuck it I’m dedicating this post just to talking about my fictional boyfriend that I created

The funny story behind how Elliot became one of my main f/os is that I drew Larry (from the special interest and also one of my main fictotypes) in love and shit, and my bestie and brother said “give that man a boyfriend” and I replied “challenge accepted”. So I revamped Elliot, who was a very old sf oc at this point, and shipped him with Larry. This then ended up with me, the fictionkin of Larry, to be in love with Elliot.

It’s stupid, it was my own undoing, and I don’t regret it in the slightest I love this fictional man I created. So yeah technically my own self insert is a canon character. It’s happened before and I can bet it will happen again.

Anyways we’re T4T, we’re both gay ass men, we’re both ace and demiromantic, we’re both alterhuman and otherkin and fictionkin, and I always get so anxious about posting Larriot art for no fucking reason lmao. There’s so much I wanna talk about when it comes to Elliot and Larriot as a whole so idk if you wanna ask about these two idiots (affectionate) I’ll be glad to answer anything about them. Queerplatonic is a type of relationship and a type of attraction.

Queerplatonic attraction is typically defined as the attraction based on desiring a queerplatonic relationship (also known as QPR, quasiplatonic relationship, or quirkyplatonic relationship) with someone.

A QPR is often based on queerplatonic attraction between the people in the relationship but it is not necessary, QPRs can stem from other kinds of attraction too. Similarly, queerplatonic attraction may lead to other forms of relationships as well.

What constitutes and defines a QPR depends on the people involved in it. QPR Day is on the third Saturday of July. It was first observed in 2020 as "the platonic version of St. Valentine's Day"

Final thoughts on the controversy

i think i'll just block these people who act like the show is their creation.

for the record i am not "siding" with ant-i-ant-is either. i hate them and they've treated me horribly for not liking their crap pairings. i have no sympathy for that group or how they harass people for feeling uncomfortable by problematic pairings. i had them spew hatred at me for sharing a userbox saying i disliked a pairing before!!! so don't take my annoyance with this "fandom owns the show" stuff as an endorcement of so called ant/i-ant/is.

Basically, this is why i am upset about it: I am not mad at people who were disappointed or angered by what went down with the individuals in the crew. people have the right to be upset by what happened! but my issue stems from the whole claiming someone else's (who's not even involved in this controversy may i add) hard work belongs to them is sickening to me. at least with min*ecraft i can understand why people do that since the actual creator was bigoted as fuck, but in this case it's some random boarders. Not the man who worked his ass off to have his show made since 2013 and earlier.

Not to mention how 9 times out of 10 the "fandom mom" behaviour ends up being toxic af. y'all don't help the situation and make people outside your clique feel unwelcome. people with mental health issues or people who simply have different interpretations of the show than you do shouldn't be pushed aside and told their own visions don't matter just because you have a decent following.

I just want to love what I love and seek comfort in it when I am feeling down. I don't want one of my most dearly held special interests to become a tool of hatred and drama. So this is why I made the decision that I did.

It can be quite challenging existing as a member of a system, and having to share a body that doesn’t look or feel like yours. Here’s to headmates in systems who experience dysphoria as a result of this!
